Why do you meditate?

Words from MR WOOLF students

I meditate to stay aligned, with my true self and the deeper connection of all things. Through this practice I bring awareness to my thoughts, my emotions and my surroundings and can therefore move with clarity. Meditation enables my intuition and enhances my creativity; by helping me to remove the unnecessary and to reveal the essence. Through meditation I find peace.

Jai Stevens

I meditate as a practice of courage and self-love. To take responsibility for my own transformation, to trust, to heal, to feel – to be open and free. Meditation is a space between the sensation and the reaction, a space to experience everything for what it is, in total equanimity. I practice meditation as a union of self, where states of darkness and unease make space for illumination and peace.

Chloe Leong

Meditation is the ultimate gift I give myself. A sacred space to allow my true essence to rise, while stripping away all the noise and distractions that limit my creative potential. Through meditation, I can confidently show up in the world with presence, peace and an intuitive knowing that I create my reality from a place of deep trust and alignment.

Walter Flamenco

I meditate to liberate myself from the shadow, so that the past does not limit the future, rather dissolves in the light of awareness. I meditate to heed the soft and subtle cues of my potential; to relinquish control and surrender to the flow of life. I meditate to know myself so deeply that my values and actions are in alignment. I meditate to listen, so that I may be guided by the wisdom that resides in stillness and silence.

Hannah McDougall

I meditate so that I can live within my highest potential, as my truest self. Meditation shows me that I am not my thoughts and emotions, and gives me the space to witness, accept and love all parts of myself – the light as well as the dark. Meditation places me in control of my life rather than the victim to whatever thoughts pass through my mind. It’s through meditation that I’m able to live more freely in the now (which is where all the magic really happens!).
